  • Principal Electrical Design Engineer: $119-$139/hour
Responsibilities
  • Develop and review electrical specifications and design criteria
  • Prepare and modify electrical design drawings including:
    • Single line diagrams
    • Schematics
    • Wiring diagrams
    • Raceway layouts
    • Lighting layouts
    • Grounding systems
  • Perform electrical engineering calculations and analyses including:
    • Short circuit studies
    • Relay coordination studies
    • Voltage drop calculations
    • Cable derating calculations
    • Cable pulling tension calculations
    • Load flow studies
    • Motor starting studies
    • Harmonics studies
    • Ground grid analysis
  • Develop electrical system design documents and area classifications
  • Prepare motor schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Coordinate technical issues with engineering disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients
  • Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor submittal reviews
  • Support construction activities including field changes and RFIs
  • Execute work in accordance with project quality requirements, scope, schedule, and cost baselines
  • Provide material quantity tracking, forecasting, and reporting

Senior Electrical Design Engineer
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering codes and standards
  • Experience leading discipline activities and mentoring engineers/designers
  • Significant EPC project experience on large industrial projects
Principal Electrical Design Engineer
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience
  • Advanced technical leadership experience
  • Experience serving in lead or supervisory engineering roles
  • Significant experience leading large EPC industrial projects
  • Ability to provide technical oversight and independent technical direction
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, vendors, and clients
  • Experience with engineering analysis and design tools in a multi-discipline environment
  • Ability to work in a time-conscious and detail-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with standard computer software applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • DOE or nuclear industry experience
