Project Engineer Low Voltage Wiring Harness
Job Responsibilities:Design and release prototype low voltage wiring harness layouts, including cutsheets, 3D/2D drawings, and schematics.
Develop CAN and LIN wiring for module integration, BOMs, connector pinout sheets, and napkin diagrams to support builds.
Lead design changes, collaborate with Build Engineers, resolve issues, debug, and implement countermeasures with clear procedures.
Generate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of harnesses with detailed clipping points, splice locations, and branch takeouts.
Provide step-by-step instructions for Make on Vehicle design changes and oversee harness modifications and installation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
6+ months of experience as a Project Engineer, System Engineer, Design Engineer, Weight Engineer, or Consultant.
Strong expertise in low voltage wiring harness design and automotive electrical systems.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical drawings.
Knowledge of CAN and LIN communication protocols for module integration.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design issues efficiently.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with Build Engineers and stakeholders.
