Job description

Lead a team that helps deliver custom power distribution solutions for industrial and utility customers. As the Electrical Design Supervisor, you'll guide a team of Electrical Designers responsible for the electrical documentation and control systems that power engineered electrical enclosures. This role is ideal for an experienced electrical design professional who enjoys developing people, coordinating priorities, improving processes, and helping a team deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Electrical Designers, supporting onboarding, training, performance, and day-to-day execution.
  • Coordinate design workloads and priorities across multiple customer projects to help ensure work is completed on schedule.
  • Support the team in developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, relay controls, communication architecture, and other electrical design documentation for custom power distribution equipment.
  • Perform targeted drawing and design reviews to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Operations teams to support successful project execution and resolve design-related challenges.
  • Find opportunities to improve design processes, documentation practices, and team efficiency.
  • Serve as a resource for designers using AutoCAD Electrical while supporting consistency in design practices, documentation standards, and team development.

YOU HAVE:
  • Associate's (A.S.) degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of electrical design, drafting, controls design, or related experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, project leadership, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, or supporting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control circuits, relay systems, or similar electrical design documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical or comparable electrical design software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-to-order environment.
