Position Summary – Perform electrical estimating and project management oversight on projects of various sizes including commercial and industrial type projects. The successful candidate should have a background not only in managing electrical construction but also in electrical design and construction practices. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in the following roles and responsibilities:



Roles and Responsibilities:

· Work as an estimator and as a team to develop accurate takeoff quantities and determine project scope to ensure accurate bids

· Lead Project Team on electrical projects including remodels and new construction

· Depending on project type and understanding eventually develop as lead Project Manager or Lead Estimator for various types of projects.

· Lead Constructability Reviews with Engineering Team including aid in developing Alternative Technical Concepts.

· Schedules crew members, equipment and materials necessary to complete the project.

· Works with project engineers and superintendents to problem solve issues that occur in the field.

· Solicits prices from various subcontractors and vendors for the project. Once they are contracted for the projects, the project manager will ensure they complete their work on schedule and per plan.

· Communicates with project owners to update them on the status of the projects, as well as to ensure their 100% satisfaction with the project.

· Build relationships with project owners and stakeholders.

· Interacts with the general public to give them project status updates, as well as listen to concerns they may have.

· Works to ensure that the project is completed safely.

· Maintain and ensure all compliance issues are handled on site including State and Federal Regulations for a project.

· Work to ensure the budget is maintained during the construction process. This includes managing pay applications, as well as reviewing and approving subcontractor and vendor invoices.

· Works with utility companies to determine their impact on the project.

· Manages all work onsite to ensure that the project is built per the plans and specifications.

· Able to complete simple designs and simple surveys in the field.

· Be able to take service calls and troubleshoot electrical issues.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


· Journeyman Electrician or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Construction Management Degree

· Master Electrician is a plus

· At least 5 to 10 years of project management experience
