We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. 

Job Overview: As a Senior Electrical Project Manager at CMD Electric, you will play a pivotal role in executing electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, and building strong relationships with both internal team members and clients. This position requires a disciplined and collaborative professional with a proven track record in electrical project management. 


  • Establish and execute project objectives and performance standards in alignment with corporate policies.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of construction, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Manage and administer contracts, including change orders and claims resolution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal team members and clients, fostering a high level of credibility.
  • Regularly communicate project updates, milestones, and potential challenges to clients.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Strong leadership capabilities 

  • 6+ years of electrical project management experience in public works, federal, or private projects with individual contract values exceeding $5 million and portfolios exceeding $20 million. Multi-family experience a plus! 
  • Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fields. Field experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Estimating experience w/ accubid change order a plus!
  • PMP or equivalent a plus!
  • Capable of managing and mentoring project engineers and interns.
  • Experienced in the design-build delivery method, with preference for DBIA accreditation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to generate energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to succeed in others.
  • Leads confidently and with clarity amid uncertainty.
  • Guided by core values and beliefs, acts with integrity and honesty.
  • Intolerant to mediocrity and maintains a strong sense of urgency.
