Job description

General Description

Under the direction of the Electrical Lead, the Electrical Assisant will work as an integral part of the team to help complete the electrical panel builds. They will coordinate panel builds in accordance with the project schedules by assisting the panel builder. Effective communication with the lead panel builder will be needed to build the panels correctly according to schematics while staying on schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  1. Ensure focus on safety when completing tasks.

  2. Help read and understand the panel electrical schematics and technical documents related to components in the panel build.

  3. Assist in wiring panels accurately to schematics while being detail oriented with wiring.

  4. Work alongside panel builders while staying on task to complete panel builds on schedule.

  5. Communicate effectively with leads on questions or concerns while maintaining a team atmosphere.

  6. Ensure all panels are wired correctly and within the panel build schedule with the help of a panel builder.

  7. Keep hand and power tools clean and in good working order.

  8. Must be proficient with the use of power tools, hand tools, and measuring tools common to panel building.

  9. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor accurately and within the given schedule.

  10. Keep work area clean and organized.

  11. Other duties as needed.

  • Electrical Wiring and Panel Building knowledge as well as strong troubleshooting skillsa plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously; attention to details with strong organization skills.

  • Must be able to be willing to go into customer sites and facilities that may be, at times, dirty and hot/cold environments while working on equipment and assisting with machine installation/wiring for the customer.

  • Basic computer skills.
