Job Description
ECU Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures is currently seeking several Learning Assistants to fulfill the following duties:
  • Assist instructors in class.
  • Help facilitate and lead cultural immersion activities outside class.
  • Assist instructors and students with assignment preparation.
  • Serve as conversation partners for beginning language learners in and outside class.
  • Tutor students, as needed.

GPA Requirement
Minimum of 3.0
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Students who are pursuing a B. A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures; a B.A. in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Russian Studies; or a minor in Classical Studies, French, Foreign Language Education, German, Hispanic Studies, or Russian Studies are preferred.
License/certification required

To be ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK STUDY POSITIONS, students MUST QUALIFY and RECEIVE an AWARD from the ECU Financial Aid Office (Old Cafeteria Complex, 252-328-6610.)Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
