Job description

Vanco Faith is the newly combined powerhouse behind how churches across the country manage ministry and move money, bringing together Vanco Payments, the payments platform already trusted by tens of thousands of congregations, and ACS Technologies (ACST), the church management software (ChMS) long relied on by ministries to run their day-to-day operations.
We are seeking an experienced eLearning Developer to lead web-based course development, build high-impact interactivities, and assist in supporting our headless Learning Management System (LMS) infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with Instructional Designers to transform complex learning concepts into engaging, visually polished digital experiences. Beyond course creation, you will help maintain other custom front-end code for our online learning platform and cloud-hosted training assets.
What You'll Do
  • Custom eLearning & Front-End Development: Code interactive, responsive web-based learning modules using optimized HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) within our LMS and rapid-authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline.
  • LMS & Backend Support: Assist in editing or building custom LMS pages and managing eLearning Team files hosted on AWS servers.
  • Visual Asset & Media Creation: Produce custom course graphics, visual assets, and multimedia using Adobe Creative Cloud or Camtasia, adhering strictly to corporate brand standards and visual design principles (white space, typography, color theory).
  • Instructional UI/UX & Interactivity Strategy: Partner with Instructional Designers to elevate course scripts into meaningful interactive experiences grounded in adult learning theory, cognitive psychology, and gamification.
  • Quality Assurance & Standards: Conduct rigorous self-QA to ensure code is clean, well-commented, and formatted, with near-zero errors in accessibility/alt text, links, or responsive layouts prior to sending out for team review.
  • Digital Organization & Process: Maintain meticulous file organization, clear folder structures, and standardized naming conventions in team-shared drives.
  • Project Execution: Provide accurate task estimations, proactively communicate status, and consistently meet project deadlines.

Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in front-end web development and eLearning development.
  • Core Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; understanding of API connections, SSO authentication, and AWS file hosting.
  • LMS Expertise: Demonstrated experience navigating, building, or customizing enterprise LMS environments.
  • Media & Visual Design: Strong portfolio showcasing custom graphics, UI/UX layouts, and video/audio editing via Adobe Creative Suite or Camtasia.
  • Instructional Craft: Strong foundation in adult learning theory, UI/UX design, and complex interactivity design beyond basic multiple-choice formats.
  • Soft Skills & Discipline: Outstanding attention to detail, strong time-management skills, transparent communication, and an organized approach to code and file management.
  • Portfolio Required: Must submit a portfolio showcasing custom code, interactive learning samples, and original media assets.
