Overview

We are seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for our Long-Term Care Facility!ย 

Schedule: 72 Hrs. per two week pay period. Monday to Friday schedule ~ 9:30am - 5:00pm.ย

About our community:

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.

Responsibilities

The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is responsible for organizing and performing all functions related to maintaining accurate and complete resident health information, performs data entry functions including entering resident information into the computer and generating reports as required, and performs non-direct care tasks according to facility procedures. The HUC is also responsible for developing and maintaining a tracking system for physicians and other outside providers of care to ensure quality resident care. Lastly, they must maintain the stock of nursing supplies, including forms and stationary, according to established guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Health Unit Coordinator certificate or comparable work experience preferred

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is essentialย 

  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills are essential

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills including ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Knowledge of Achieve/Matrix computer applications for health information systemsย 

  • Basic knowledge of computers, including word processing skillsย 
  • High School diploma
