Evening EKG Instructor


Pay:$1,000.00 per 6 weeks


Job description:

This is an adjunct position. Course hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 6pm-9pm. This is a 6 week course.Classes are held at Boardman Training Center. You MUST be located in Boardman, OH or be able to drive to the location.

Purpose:The main objective of this position is to effectively, competently and efficiently facilitate learning and testing of competencies of all students assigned to the Instructors course.

Qualifications (Required):

  • 3+ years experience working in the field as an EKG Technician
  • Certification in EKG Technician (CET)
  • Familiarity with EKG

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction
  • Facilitate student
  • Assess students' competencies
  • Enforces rules and regulations; maintains discipline; utilizes effective time management for instruction
  • Maintain a clean and orderly area
  • Provide feedback on course or program development and/or enhancement
  • Build instructor-student and student-student relationships
  • Identify at-risk students; provide them extra support, instruction, and attention; and notify the Director
  • Attend faculty meetings
  • Remain current in field of instruction to provide relevant student feedback and credible input to course updating and development
