Job description

Overview

We are conducting a search for a Head of Product to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of a growing digital platform and product ecosystem for one of our clients. This is a full-time, salaried, permanent position.

This leader will oversee Product, Engineering, and Design, and will play a central role in shaping how technology supports organizational growth, customer experience, revenue generation, and long-term strategic priorities. The successful candidate will combine strong product instincts with technical fluency, commercial judgment, and the ability to build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

This is an opportunity for an experienced executive who is equally comfortable setting long-term strategy, making investment and architecture decisions, developing talent, and ensuring teams consistently deliver high-quality products at scale.

ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
  • Define and lead the long-range product and technology vision, ensuring investments support organizational growth, customer outcomes, and financial objectives.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into an actionable product portfolio, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead portfolio investment decisions, including evaluating internal development, external platforms, partnerships, and build-versus-buy opportunities.
  • Apply disciplined business and ROI analysis to technology investments while maintaining the flexibility required for future growth.
  • Create clear prioritization mechanisms that appropriately balance new capabilities, business needs, customer requirements, innovation, and technical debt.
  • Incorporate customer insights, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and emerging industry trends into product strategy and planning.
Technology, Platforms & Delivery
  • Provide executive oversight for the organization's core digital platforms, ensuring they meet high standards for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Guide platform architecture, technology standards, and strategic vendor relationships with an emphasis on sustainability and long-term scalability.
  • Establish and monitor clear expectations for product quality, operational performance, security, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Build a pragmatic, data-driven product development operating model incorporating analytics, experimentation, planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Create accountability for delivery commitments and develop a culture where risks to scope, quality, or timelines are identified and communicated early.
  • Ensure technology decisions support both immediate business priorities and the organization's longer-term architecture and platform strategy.
Product, Engineering & Design Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing Product, Engineering, and Design organization, creating the structure and culture needed to deliver at scale.
  • Own workforce, vendor, and capability strategy, including build-versus-buy decisions and emerging AI opportunities.
  • Manage the product and technology budget with strong financial discipline and thoughtful resource allocation.
  • Serve as the senior Product and Technology leader, partnering across the executive team and key business functions to align product strategy, technology investments, and execution with growth, revenue, customer, and operational priorities.
  • Represent the product and technology vision with senior stakeholders and external partners while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, infrastructure, and organizational standards.
Customer Experience & Design Excellence
  • Position customer experience and design quality as strategic drivers of business performance.
  • Embed customer research, usability, accessibility, and design thinking throughout the product development lifecycle, beginning at the earliest stages of product definition.
  • Establish consistent product, engineering, and design principles that enable teams to move quickly without sacrificing quality or customer experience.
  • Advocate for simple, intuitive, accessible digital experiences across the organization's product portfolio.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience across product, technology, engineering, digital platforms, or a related function.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, leaders, and complex cross-functional organizations.
  • Demonstrated success setting product and technology strategy and translating business priorities into scalable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading customer-facing digital platforms, with a strong understanding of scalability, security, reliability, accessibility, and operational performance.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing significant budgets and evaluating ROI.
  • Track record of building high-performing Product, Engineering, and Design teams through growth, transformation, or organizational change.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate complex priorities clearly, and drive alignment across functions.
  • Experience applying customer insights, market data, analytics, and emerging technologies to product and technology decisions.
Compensation package: $200,000-215,000 + comprehensive benefits package
