Position Available: Applications are being accepted for full-time educational assistants at Foley Public Schools.
Location: Foley Elementary School
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Essential Functions:
  • Educational Assistants work directly under the supervision of the classroom teacher, community education director, and/or the school principal.
  • Educational Assistants supervise and work with students in the preschool classrooms.
  • 7-hour day (6.5 paid hours per day or 32.5 paid hours per 5-day week)

Qualifications:
  • An A.A. degree or at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on the ParaPro or ParaEducator assessment. Information about the ParaPro Assessment may be found at https://www.ets.org/parapro.
  • A passing score on a PCA certification online assessment
  • Experience or interest in working with children in a classroom or educational setting.
  • Experience or interest in working with children with disabilities is preferred.
