Shape the future of early childhood education across Orange and Riverside Counties. Training and Research Foundation (TRF) is looking for an experienced, hands-on education leader to guide and manage our Education Specialist, Site Supervisors, and Site Directors, and elevate classroom quality across every program site.

What You'll Do

  • Lead people. Directly manage the Education Specialist, Site Supervisors, and Site Directors — serving as the primary point of accountability and support across all program sites.
  • Raise the bar on quality. Conduct classroom observations and assessments (CLASS, ERS, ITERS) and translate the findings into real coaching, not just paperwork.
  • Grow our people. Coach and develop your team through ongoing mentoring, staff development, and performance management.
  • Guard compliance. Keep programs aligned with Title 22, Title V, CDE, CDSS, and state licensing requirements, and help shape the policies that keep us there.
  • Build capability. Deliver training and guidance to staff, parents, and the community on child development topics that matter.


Requirements:

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, plus a minimum of 24 ECE units. (Master’s degree or bilingual ability a plus.)
  • Current CTC Site Supervisor Permit (Program Director Permit preferred).
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience, with direct experience using ASQ, CLASS, DRDP, and Environmental Rating Scales (ITERS, ECERS, SACERS).
  • Experience supervising educators serving children birth–12 in state and/or federally subsidized ECE programs.
  • A steady, resourceful, people-first approach — someone who can hold teams accountable while still being genuinely kind and supportive.

Good to Know

  • Requires clearance of a criminal background check (FBI, DOJ, CAI), a physical exam, TB test, and required immunizations.
  • Mandated Child Abuse Reporter training must be completed within 14 days of hire.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation: $76,000 to $79,000
