Job description

Job Title: After School Site Aide (Kidzu) Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Assistant Coordinator-EDP Pay Grade: IS202
Dept./School: Extended Day Program Date Revised: 6/2024
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the Lead Coordinator in implementing the Extended Care Program. This includes preparing and leading daily activities, safety, and supervision of all children, and communicating with and building student relationships.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience working with school age children
Special Knowledge /Skills:
Experience working with children in large group settings
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Actively supervise students and provide a fun & safe environment for them
  2. Follow all safety and security procedures as directed by EDP standards
  3. Assist in preparing and leading daily activities
  4. Responsible for digital attendance and family contact information
  5. Prepare the physical environment before and after EDP each day
  6. All other duties as assigned
Professional Growth and Development:
  1. Develop professional skills and knowledge appropriate to the job assignment
  2. Participate in staff development by attending staff meetings as assigned
  3. Attend 15 hours of paid professional development training per year
