Job description

The Marketing Content Strategist will serve as the central content architect, partnering with executives, faculty, students, and partners to ensure a consistent, powerful voice across all owned, earned, and emerging channels. 

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Elevate Pima Medical Institute’s national brand awareness, credibility, and authority
  • Drive B2C and B2B demand generation through high-impact, search-optimized content
  • Build content that performs across traditional search, AI answers, video platforms, and thought leadership ecosystems
  • Establish Pima as a trusted voice in healthcare education, workforce development, and allied health careers.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Serve as the central content architect, partnering with executives, faculty, students, and partners to cultivate a consistent and powerful brand voice across all channels.
    • Develop and own the national content strategy, editorial calendar, and governance to support brand growth and enrollment objectives
    • Architect content journeys that effectively move target audiences from discovery to conversion across all digital channels.
    • Continuously leverage SEO, AI-driven discovery (AEO, GEO), and performance data to inform and optimize the content strategy.
    • Research, write, edit, and produce high-impact content—including thought leadership, articles, video scripts, and demand-generation assets—that establishes credibility and drives action.
    • Translate complex topics from academia, healthcare trends, and workforce needs into compelling, audience-centric narratives.
    • Serve as the primary editor, ensuring all content maintains a consistent brand voice, message integrity, and high editorial standards.
    • Partner with executive leadership, academic teams, and institutional stakeholders to source insights and co-create authentic stories.
    • Collaborate with students, alumni, and employer partners to develop testimonial and success story content.
    • Work closely with marketing, digital, and creative teams, and manage external agencies to ensure integrated planning and execution.
    • Manage the content distribution and amplification strategy across owned, earned, and emerging channels.
    • Monitor, analyze, and report on content performance metrics, using insights to demonstrate ROI and guide future initiatives.
    • This role requires periodic travel to attend and represent Pima Medical Institute at national conventions, company-sponsored events, and for on-campus collaboration
    • Additional job-related duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Demonstrate exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling proficiency across diverse formats, from long-form narratives to concise digital content.
    • Apply a strong working knowledge of SEO principles, content performance analytics, and AI-influenced search dynamics to inform strategy.
    • Exhibit a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and diverse stakeholders within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Have experience successfully collaborating with external agencies and leading cross-functional internal teams to achieve shared content goals.
    • An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience that demonstrates the required skills and competencies will be considered.
