POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Copywriter is the singular copy voice for ProCaps Laboratories - responsible for producing persuasive, science-grounded, and brand-accurate copy across all consumer touchpoints. This role requires the ability to marry direct-response marketing instincts with a genuine understanding of nutraceutical science and a deep command of the founder's educational voice.
This is not a generalist content role. The ideal candidate writes with precision and intention - translating complex ingredient science into compelling, compliant consumer language that builds trust, drives conversion, and upholds the integrity that defines the ProCaps brand.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Life Sciences, or related field
  • 5+ years of copywriting experience, with a portfolio demonstrating multi-channel marketing copy
  • Demonstrated experience writing for dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods, pharmaceuticals, or health and wellness brands
  • Proven track record writing direct-response copy that drives measurable conversion results
  • Proficiency with AI writing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper) and the editorial discipline to evaluate, edit, and take accountability for AI-assisted output - particularly as it relates to health claims, brand voice, and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, CMS systems, and digital content workflows
  • Strong proofreading and editing skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with nutraceutical or supplement label copy and regulatory review processes
  • Familiarity with direct-response marketing principles and conversion copywriting frameworks
  • Background in or strong working knowledge of nutritional science, biochemistry, or related field
  • Experience working in a founder-led or mission-driven brand environment

WHAT YOU'LL DO (ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Own all consumer-facing copy across product labels, website, Amazon listings, email campaigns, SMS, and social media - where every word reflects the brand and earns its place
  • Write direct-response copy for promotional campaigns, landing pages, and conversion funnels that drives immediate, measurable action
  • Translate complex ingredient science and mechanism of action into clear, compelling consumer language without diluting the science
  • Master and consistently apply the documented ProCaps founder voice across all channels - maintaining the educational, trust-driven tone that distinguishes ProCaps from commodity supplement brands while meeting channel-specific performance requirements; partner with the founder and marketing leadership to ensure adherence to brand voice
  • Develop customer newsletter content, blog articles, and educational marketing materials that build loyalty and trust
  • Partner with the internal compliance team throughout the review process, incorporating feedback efficiently and maintaining copy quality across revision cycles - with a working knowledge of FDA/FTC structure-function claim rules and what separates permissible health benefit language from prohibited disease claims
  • Collaborate with creative, design, and digital teams to ensure copy and visuals reinforce each other
  • Leverage AI writing tools to accelerate ideation and draft production without sacrificing editorial rigor, brand voice, or science accuracy
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment
