Job description

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Senior Analyst to support the Critical Safety Item Team/Sustainment Division/Systems Readiness Directorate. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Gather, compile, review, and evaluate Post Award & Intercept Database (PAID) requests to prepare consolidated memorandum responses to reflect the position of the Branch, Division, and Directorate leadership.

  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing plans prior to acquisition of aviation parts and systems to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.

  • Evaluate Critical Safety Item (CSI) data to ensure technical data meets U.S. Army and SRD requirements.

  • Review contracts to ensure vendors are approved U.S. Army sources and CSI and Critical Characteristics (CC) are accurately defined and conform to SRD CSI requirements.

  • Identify and make recommendations in the determination of CSI status and applicable CCs.

  • Monitor and maintain the ARISE Database requirements of the CSI, New Source Testing (NST), and Conformance Inspection (CI) programs for the SRD Sustainment Division on all models of AH-64, CH-47, UH-60, T-55, and T-701C/D parts.

  • Provide product assurance (PA) technical expertise on issues of conformance inspections.

  • Observe and recommend corrective actions on CSI managed by other agencies.

  • Develop and recommend field and depot maintenance/overhaul inspection criteria, repair procedures, and quality standards for Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs).

  • Perform technical support and research as required for other CSI and NST issues through operation of the EDIS, WEBFLIS, and LDAC systems.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/ 9 years’ experience in Army Aviation and/or Military Rotary Wing helicopters and their systems, subsystems, and components.

  • The ability to read and understand Engineering drawings, IETMs, and DMWRs.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience using ICAPP, EDIS, and ARISE applications.

  • Additional experience with specific software programs.

  • Additional experience with one or all of the Army Aircraft/ Gas Turbines Engine platforms.

  • Professional certifications: Manufacturer certifications, A&P Licenses.
