Job description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual with a solid Customer Service background along with experience in Excel, ecommerce, and web ordering.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Answer phones courteously, assist caller and if needed transfer to appropriate person or take messages and make sure they are relayed to the appropriate Manager/Assistant.
• Enter new and/or revised Orders and Purchase orders into Bakery System and/ or Great Plains, via Phone call, EDI, e-mail and/or facsimile as appropriate to the business requirements
• Entering Customer Complaints and Customer Feed Back into system and follow through on all issues.
• Communicate Purchase Order confirmations and/or revisions to distributors and appropriate cold storage locations, as well as pick-up notifications to carriers via e-mail and/or facsimile
• Assist customers as well as distributors via phone and e-mail inquiries on pending Orders, availability of product and/or minimums, and required lead-times, suggesting new products
• Serve as liaison between cold storage and distributor regarding any and all discrepancies, i.e. quantities, BOLs, pallets, arrival time, etc.
• Entering Customer Complaints and Customer Feed Back into system and follow through on all issues.
• Assist sales Team by Relaying customer information to sales teams, Opening and Closing accounts into various systems, canceling of standing orders, process new account call in as well as Arrange and track shipments for all product samples.
• Calling on new accounts daily for orders. Keeping in contact with sales reps on how order processing is going.
• Assist Route sales team by entering various reports/tasks into system to include but not limited to Retail Promotion, Order Masters, orders food service/retail, Route Sequences.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
• Previous experience with customer service/high volume call center desired
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with ecommerce and web ordering
• Availability to work weekends, as needed
