Job Title : EDI Manager, Application Development

Department : Information Technology

Location : Scottsdale Office (HQ)

Position Summary:

The EDI Manager is responsible for leading the organization's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) strategy, integration architecture, and daily operations. This role oversees the design, development, implementation, and support of EDI and API integrations across customers, vendors, logistics partners, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Software AG web-Methods, AWS cloud services, scripting, API development, and enterprise integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

EDI & Integration Management:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of EDI integrations using Software AG web-Methods
  • Manage EDI transaction sets, including ANSI X12 and EDIFACT documents (e.g., 204, 210, 214, 301, 310, 322, 999, and others)
  • Develop and maintain EDI mappings, trading partner configurations, validation rules, and business workflows
  • Monitor EDI processing, troubleshoot failed transactions, and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Coordinate customer and vendor onboarding, testing, certification, and production deployments
  • Design and develop REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise integrations.

Development & Automation:

  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Java
  • Automate file transfers, data validation, reconciliation, and exception handling processes
  • Build monitoring dashboards and alerting mechanisms for integration health and SLA compliance
  • Optimize integration performance and improve processing efficiency

Operational Support:

  • Lead production support for EDI and integration platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive solutions
  • Ensure high system availability and adherence to SLA commitments
  • Maintain integration documentation, technical specifications, and operational procedures

Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage onsite and offshore EDI developers and integration engineers
  • Manage project planning, resource allocation, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and IT teams to deliver integration solutions
  • Establish integration standards, coding best practices, and governance processes

Business and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with corporate and regional business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into actionable technology initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary IT point of contact for EDI Integration
  • Facilitate weekly and ad-hoc meetings with business users and solution leads to review priorities, progress, and project roadmaps
  • Provide regular status updates to business stakeholders on project progress, risks, and delivery timelines

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Software AG webMethods Integration Server, Trading Networks, Designer, Universal Messaging, MWS, and API Gateway
  • Strong knowledge of ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, CSV, and flat-file processing
  • REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL/TLS, and API security
  • AWS services including Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, IAM, and Secrets Manager
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Java
  • SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Secure FTP (SFTP), AS2, HTTPS, FTP/S, MQ, and messaging technologies
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • Monitoring and log analysis tools

Preferred Skills:

  • Logistics, transportation, or supply chain integration experience
  • Experience integrating ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Familiarity with cloud-native integration and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management experience

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in EDI and enterprise integration.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Proven experience implementing large-scale EDI and API integrations.
  • Experience managing production support, customer onboarding, and enterprise integration projects.
  • Having hands-on experience in GIT, Product build and deployments
  • Possess technical knowledge on reviewing application architecture, design, code review etc
