Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds – 22 (with a vertical space area for additional patients) · Number of Staff – approx. 50 · Type of staff: o Day Shift – (1 CC, 5-6 nurses, 1 tech, 1 medic) o Night Shift – (1 CC, 5-6 nurses, 1 secretary, 1 tech/medic) · Patient Ratios – 1:4 · Type of equipment – Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser · EMR – Meditech (EDM) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · Strong IV skills- adults & pediatric · Excellent communication skills Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. · Trauma experience, TNCC · Meditech experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Cardioversion · Central line placements · Cardiac arrests · IV insertions, EKG’s, etc. (basic ER skills) · Pacemaker interrogation · Code Stroke protocol · Code Sepsis protocol · Suture/abscess set up REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · BLS, ACLS, PALS & CPI Floating Area(s): · Potentially to our FSED (approximately 15mins away)
