Job description

The Medical Assistant will be an integral member of a small medical team within a primary care clinic, providing high levels of patient interaction through various clinical and administrative tasks. This role supports healthcare professionals by preparing patients, managing medical records, and facilitating smooth clinic operations using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ECW software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  • Measure and record vital signs accurately
  • Maintain and update medical records and documentation
  • Administer medications as directed
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinic workflow
  • Verify patient insurance information
  • Sterilize and maintain medical equipment
  • Facilitate patient communication and provide administrative support

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical assisting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in medical assisting
  • CPR certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
  • Skills in patient care and phlebotomy
