Market Development Manager
Position Summary
The Market Development Manager, will lead strategic and tactical initiatives to drive adoption, awareness, and market expansion for Highridge ActivL, while also supporting other key brands across the Highridge portfolio.
This role is ideal for a senior clinical professional with deep spine, orthopedic, or medical device experience who can translate clinical evidence into compelling market development programs. The individual will partner closely with surgeons, sales leadership, marketing, medical education, clinical affairs, and cross-functional teams to support procedure adoption, surgeon engagement, and execution of key growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will bring strong clinical credibility, a deep understanding of patient pathways and procedural workflows, and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external customers. This person will serve as a critical link between clinical insights and commercial execution to accelerate growth of ActivL and other strategic Highridge brands.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute market development strategies to expand adoption of ActivL while supporting growth initiatives for other key Highridge brands
  • Clinically support new customer adoption of ActivL and other key strategic brands
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and medical education teams to identify growth opportunities and remove barriers to adoption across the portfolio.
  • Leverage clinical expertise to support surgeon-to-surgeon engagement, field education, and customer discussions related to patient selection, procedural workflow, and clinical outcomes.
  • Translate clinical data, evidence, and real-world experience into impactful messaging, tools, and programs that support commercial objectives for ActivL and other strategic brands.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts, centers, and key opinion leaders to drive procedural growth and long-term market penetration.
  • Support development of educational initiatives, surgeon programs, peer-to-peer events, advisory boards, and customer engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align market development plans with broader brand strategy, product positioning, and commercial execution across multiple product lines.
  • Gather voice-of-customer insights and market feedback to inform strategy, messaging, training, and future program development.
  • Provide strategic input on competitive dynamics, market trends, and customer needs within spine, motion preservation, and adjacent procedure categories.
  • Partner with field teams to support launch execution, account activation, and ongoing utilization growth.
  • Help develop and refine tools, resources, and best practices that enable the field to effectively communicate the clinical and economic value of ActivL and other Highridge solutions.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and provide recommendations to optimize market development efforts and program effectiveness.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in medical device, spine, orthopedics, or related healthcare field.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience supporting surgeons, procedures, and hospital-based care environments.
  • Experience in market development, downstream marketing, clinical education, medical education, or field-based commercial support preferred.
  • Spine experience strongly preferred; experience with motion preservation, biologics, or enabling technologies is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with surgeons, healthcare providers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze market opportunities and translate insights into actionable growth plans.
  • Willingness to travel significantly to support field and customer engagement activities.
