Job Description
This role supports X-energy's international engagement strategy by contributing to the development of international markets, cultivating customer opportunities, and helping shape domestic and international policies that facilitate deployment of X-energy's technologies. Working under the direction of the Senior Director, this role leads discrete market development and policy workstreams and helps strengthen the customer, supply chain, and strategic partner relationships that support X-energy's growth in target international markets.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of market strategies to promote X-energy's technologies in international markets, and lead execution of assigned market development workstreams under the direction of the Senior Director.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of policies for engagement with U.S. and foreign governments, and lead specific policy initiatives as assigned.
  • Help develop and execute initiatives that promote favorable market conditions and policies for deployment of X-energy technologies within a defined set of markets or regions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with a defined set of international industry organizations, NGOs, think tanks, US Government officials, and international governmental organizations in support of company market objectives.
  • Represent X-energy in select international policy forums and initiatives, as directed by the Senior Director and other senior leaders, to help ensure the company's interests are reflected in relevant global discussions.
  • Support engagement with congressional and executive branch stakeholders on national security and foreign policy matters affecting X-energy's business objectives, including preparation of briefing materials and positioning.
  • Support efforts to engage international financing organizations and institutions, helping to identify and advance opportunities for financial backing of X-energy projects.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, plan, and host senior international partner delegations/visits to X-energy facilities and support senior leaders in their external engagements with international partners.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in international affairs, economics, finance, business, engineering, physical sciences, or other relevant field.
  • Typically, twelve years of general work experience.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in international market development and/or policy engagement.
  • Strong understanding of international markets, policy development, and non-proliferation issues related to energy technologies, specifically nuclear energy.

Travel Expectations: 10%
Work Site Expectations: 4 days a week in office
Hours: 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday
Compensation
As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.
Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
$220,000- $240,000.The compensation for this position is comprised of base salary plus an annual short term incentive which is variable, based on scope of responsibility and achievement of goals.
