Job description

The Jay Group was founded in 1965 and has continued to grow as a leader in the growing ecommerce fulfilment and logistics industry. The Jay Group has two locations in Pennsylvania, one location in Reno, Nevada, and one location in Houston, Texas. We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to act as the liaison between our Clients and internal teams. This position will be based in our Houston, Texas.

The experienced candidate should be one who enjoys consulting and interacting with Clients. Critical thinking skills is one of the most important traits we are looking for. Our Clients over the years have moved to a data driven business model so being able to communicate effectively, understand ecommerce operations, and interpret trends in numbers is critical to the success of the person.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Builds strong relationships internally and externally to guarantee the success of the clients projects
  • Responsible for the execution of the project from initial job meeting to the completion of the project to achieve mutually agreed upon expectations
  • Expeditiously responds to client requests to achieve client satisfaction
  • Develops job procedures to standardize project operations and implements timelines to eliminate work overload
  • Perform general project administration, i.e. report generation, order processing, daily KPIs, and weekly or monthly Business Review meetings with the clients
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to provide additional value to the client

Additional Requirements

  1. Previous college or business school degree with 2-4 years of account management and / or logistics experience required
  2. Must have professional oral and written communication skills.
  3. Excellent problem solving skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.
  5. Have business intelligence skills.
  6. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are required
  7. Previous experience working in an AS400 environment is preferred.
  8. Experience in an e-commerce/fulfillment account management position is strongly preferred
