As the largest locally-owned appliance company, Standard TV and Appliance is searching for an eCommerce Salesperson to meet our growing online sales needs.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service in-person, via email and/or SMS text messages, and telephone.
  • Converting website traffic into sales via online chat.
  • Maintaining minimum sales standards as outlined by management.
  • Maintaining a well-organized, responsible, and positive attitude.
  • Additional job functions and position qualifications as listed below.

Position is full-time PLUS benefits. Salary is based on commission.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet the customer with a smile and positive attitude.
  • Provide customer service (treat the customers as your family).
  • Engage active website visitors within 120 seconds of arriving on our site.
  • Engage active 'live chat' requests within 15 seconds.
  • Qualify leads and move conversations offline to phone, text, email and, if possible schedule appointment in retail locations.
  • Maintain minimum sales standards per Minimum Expectations Addendum.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of all product functions, features and benefits sold by Standard TV and Appliance.
  • Follow the Sales Handbook, Memos and Policies & Procedures.
  • Dress as per Sales Handbook, including a name tag.
  • Punctual for shift, should be punched in on or before start time.
  • Ask the on duty Person-in-Charge (PIC) for assistance if you are not able to close the sale.
  • Follow up on all bids, SOR reports, "NA" reports, and others as assigned.
  • Follow up on all customer calls before leaving your shift.
  • Follow online merchandise and pricing direction from the buying office.
  • Attend regular sales meeting (as scheduled).
  • Attend training sessions, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, factory off-site & on-site as required or available.
  • Prioritize the preservation and protection of JBC Limited, LLC.'s (and all dbas) reputation and public image of integrity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience offering friendly customer service in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented; possess good organizational and appliance product knowledge skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Fluency in English (written & verbal).
  • Basic computer skills and experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, i.e. Saturdays and/or Sundays until 10:00 p.m.
  • Ability to follow merchandise directions, a plan to sell.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (assist in loading Appliances).
  • Working knowledge of appliance hook up instructions.
  • Ability to accurately calculate gross margins from cost reports.
  • Ability to work positively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior builder/designer account experience a plus.
  • Prior retail sales experience.
  • Knowledge of "STORIS" system.
  • Customer Service Certification from a business or accredited college.
  • Strong computer experience, including Microsoft Word.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Eastern European or Asian languages.
  • Prior property management experience.
