Job description

California Wine Country | Up to $200K + 25% Bonus + Stock Options + Relocation

A rapidly growing wine and beverage organization is seeking an entrepreneurial Vice President of Wineries to build and scale a portfolio of boutique winery brands.

This is a builder's roleโ€”not a maintenance role. The VP will initially lead a winery portfolio representing approximately $10 million in revenue, with the vision and resources to grow into a $50+ million multi-brand platform.

We are looking for an executive with deep DTC experience in small and boutique wineries who understands how to build brands, create consumer demand, scale infrastructure, and drive profitable growth.

What You'll Own
  • DTC Growth: Lead wine clubs, tasting rooms, e-commerce, mailing lists, allocations, digital acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Brand Building: Develop differentiated winery brands, positioning, pricing, storytelling, and strategies that create demand.
  • Wholesale Growth: Build profitable wholesale channels while protecting DTC economics and brand equity.
  • Operations & Production: Align demand forecasting with production, sourcing, inventory, pricing, and release strategies.
  • Financial Performance: Own revenue, margins, production costs, inventory, DTC profitability, and overall P&L performance.
  • Platform Building: Create the systems, teams, KPIs, processes, and infrastructure required to support rapid growth.
  • Acquisitions: Help evaluate and integrate future winery acquisitions while preserving each brand's individual identity.
Who We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will have:

  • Significant boutique winery DTC leadership experience
  • A track record of building or scaling a winery, brand, division, or business
  • Strong wine club, tasting room, e-commerce, and customer acquisition expertise
  • Winery brand-building and wholesale experience
  • Production forecasting and inventory knowledge
  • Strong P&L and financial capabilities
  • Multi-winery or multi-brand leadership experience
  • An entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership style

Experience with winery acquisitions and post-acquisition integration is highly desirable.

Most importantly, we want someone who can demonstrate what they personally built and the measurable results they achieved.

Compensation & Opportunity
  • Base salary up to $200,000
  • Annual bonus up to 25%
  • Stock options
  • Relocation assistance
  • Comprehensive benefits

This is an on-site executive position in Northern California wine country with significant potential for increased scope, title, and compensation as the portfolio grows.

If you have built DTC winery businesses, developed brands, and want the opportunity to help create a $50+ million wine platform, we want to hear from you.
