Job Description

CLIENT has established a global team of retail thought leaders and experts in the areas of Multi Channel Retailing, eCommerce, Customer Analytics and Merchandising. The focus of this team, the Retail Center of Competence, is developing solutions and transformational programs for retailers on customer-centric journeys across the globe.
The role of Associate Partner will drive consulting sales in the areas of: Retail Multi Channel, eCommerce, and Order Management cross technology, process and strategic change initiatives to CLIENT's large-scale Retail clients in the US and globally.
Project Profiles: Demonstrated leadership across all phases of large, complex engagements, including functional, international or cross-organizational teams. Can provide oversight to multiple engagements at one time.
Sales & Proposal Management: Establishes project vision and objectives with the client. Leads the proposal team through the development of the project scope and approach to solution client issues. Understands and abides by the quality assurance guidelines. Can draft and review responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), CLIENT contracts, and CLIENT Statements of Work.
Project Delivery Tasks: Assisting with the client sale and early stages of client delivery, ensuring transition from sales to delivery team. Leads work sessions and deliverable presentations with client CxO members. Identifies and secures new and follow on work with clients.
Knowledge Management: Ensures the use and collection of intellectual capital on the engagement.
People Management: Mentors junior consultants on the proposal team, Engagement Manager and other junior delivery consultants as appropriate.
Relationship Management: Develops relationships with client executives at CxO level. Strong executive presence with the ability to establish credibility in first client meeting.
Competency: Recognized as an expert in their competency and/or specific offerings.
Retail Community: Participates in and/or is responsible for the creation, harvesting, protection and reuse of CLIENT's intellectual capital. Participates actively in and in some cases leads knowledge sharing activities like communities of practice, forums, conferences and/or other knowledge exchanges.
This position may require frequent international travel
It is also expected that new hires live within a reasonable commuting distance (generally 50 mi or less) of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Hartford, CT; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; Minneapolis, MN; New York City, NY and surrounding areas; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Tulsa, OK; and Washington, DC. Exceptions may be considered.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 5 years experience in functional domain from roles held within retail organizations particularly in one or more of these areas: eCommerce, Marketing, Merchandising
  • At least 3 years experience in the retail merchandising industry.
  • Readiness to travel Up to 3 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Fluent

Preferred

  • Master's Degree
  • At least 8 years experience in functional domain from roles held within retail organizations particularly in one or more of these areas: eCommerce, Marketing, Merchandising
  • At least 8 years experience in a consulting firm or professional services firm, with specific consulting and delivery responsibility.
  • At least 8 years experience in the retail merchandising industry.
  • At least 2 years experience in eCommerce/Smarter Commerce
