Job description

About Manifest.eco

Manifest.eco is a third-party logistics (3PL) company based in Austin, Texas. We are redefining eCommerce fulfillment at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and operational excellence, offering eco-friendly logistics solutions for our clients and pioneering Third Wave Fulfillment.

Our team operates out of a high-velocity fulfillment center where data integrity, process discipline, and a people-first culture are how we run the building every day.

Location: On-site, San Marcos, TX

Schedule, Weekends Required

A Dedicated Schedule Friday to Monday

You'll work Friday through Monday, with full ownership of warehouse operations on Saturdays and Sundays. Friday serves as a handoff day to start your week, and Monday serves as a handoff day to Senior Operations to close it out, keeping continuity between the two manager shifts. You'll carry full decision-making authority for weekend operations, so consistent, reliable availability across the schedule is essential. Some flexibility for overlap and peak-season needs is expected.

The Role

Manifest is hiring a Warehouse Area Manager to build the coverage, structure, and process discipline of our growing fulfillment volume demands. This role will own inventory accuracy and process/SOP management across the warehouse, with manager-on-duty responsibility for daily operations during assigned shifts.

We're looking for an experienced operations leader who can walk in and be trusted with the floor from day one: someone who has run warehouse inventory and process functions before, brings outside perspective and best practices to how we work, and holds the same standard for accuracy and accountability that we hold for our clients.

What You'll Own

  • Inventory accuracy and control: cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, lot and expiration tracking, and reconciliation within ShipHero WMS.
  • ICQA (Inventory Control & Quality Assurance): build and run a quality assurance cadence that catches errors before they reach the client or the customer.
  • Process and SOP management: write, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures across receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Process auditing: conduct regular floor audits against SOPs and safety standards, and drive corrective action when a process breaks down.
  • Shift ownership: serve as manager-on-duty for operations on scheduled days. This manager will own full operations of the warehouse on Saturdays and Sundays, owning and driving daily execution to consistently meet or exceed customer service-level commitments.
  • Team leadership: supervise, coach, and hold warehouse associates accountable to the Code of Conduct, safety standards, and attendance policy during shifts.
  • Cross-shift continuity: partner closely with Manifest's Sr. Operations Manager to hand off priorities cleanly across the week and keep inventory and process standards consistent regardless of who's on the floor.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership/management role in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations management role, with direct ownership of inventory and process functions.
  • Working knowledge of WMS platforms (ShipHero experience a plus) and inventory control / ICQA practices.
  • A track record of writing and enforcing SOPs, and of running audits that actually change behavior on the floor.
  • Comfort being the senior person in the building: confident making calls during shifts without a manager immediately on-site to lean on.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work Friday to Monday, including full ownership of Saturday and Sunday warehouse operations.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating handoffs with the Sr. Operations Manager and leadership team.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000, based on experience
  • Schedule: Friday to Monday, full-time, on-site at our San Marcos distribution center. Three days off
  • Full-time benefits: medical, dental, vision, supplemental coverage, and 401(k)
  • PTO accrual, Employee Assistance Program from day one, and a mission-driven culture
