The Ripken Experience Aberdeen is a premier baseball tournament destination, hosting teams, and families from across the country. Our fast-paced, high energy fun environment relies on teamwork and great customer service to deliver unforgettable tournament experiences.
Position Summary:
As a Game Changer Operator, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with tournament operations for the Ripken National Qualifier event held at The Ripken Experienceโ„ข Aberdeen. You will serve as the head Game Changer Operator for a field during the weekend of April 10-12, 2026. Games will begin as early as 12:00pm on April 10, 2026, and you must be available for all three days of the event.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the head operator of Game Changer for your assigned field for the duration of the Ripken National Qualifier
  • Input lineups for both teams for all games at your assigned field
  • Manage game play, outcomes, and lineup changes for both teams at your assigned field
  • Ensure accurate score, accurate counts per at bat, and accurate play outcomes
  • High attention to detail
  • Adhere to the Ripken values and brand standards, ensuring a consistent representation of excellence
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, displaying initiative, desire, and determination to champion the values associated with the Ripken name and brand
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
  • Be considered to work other Ripken Baseball events in the future, based on performance

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Previous Game Changer experience, ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities, availability and ability for on-site work in Aberdeen, MD, and ability to work all dates and times.

Preferred:
  • Prior work experience in a customer service environment, previous experience within the sports sector, genuine passion for sports, with a particular emphasis on baseball/softball.

Working Conditions/Special Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to endure potential exposure to extreme heat or cold while working
