As an EDI Integrations Developer at Smithfield Foods, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency and ensuring seamless communication between our business partners and internal systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EDI solutions that facilitate the exchange of critical business data, enabling us to meet our supply chain and business objectives. The Developer- EDI Integrations is responsible for supporting and developing in Smithfield's EDI System Integration landscape. They are tasked with analysis, troubleshooting, development, and delivery of EDI Transactions and mftp connections. This position will develop with the employee to incorporate transformations with integrations and future capabilities. The focus of this role is analysis and development within IBM SCBN EDI and to work alongside the Integrations team for future integration applications to target end state architecture and end state technology stack to support project and production capabilities and timelines.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • EDI Integration Support and Development: Provide support, troubleshooting, and development for EDI integrations within IBM Sterling Cloud Business Network (SCBN).
  • Middleware and Application Integration: Assist middleware resources in translating business requirements into detailed integration designs with support from engineers and integration leadership.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with integrations and project teams to engage business and technology delivery teams as needed.
  • Legacy System Transformation: Contribute to initiatives aimed at transforming legacy integrations to align with Smithfield's standards for reusability and reliability.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure all integration solutions comply with IT security policies and meet required security and compliance controls.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Information Technology or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • EDI and Integration Systems: Hands-on experience with EDI or integration systems such as Boomi, GoAnywhere, EDI-X12, and SAP IDOC.
  • EDI and Warehouse Documentation: Strong understanding and experience with standard EDI and warehouse documents.
  • Vendor and Service Management: Familiarity with vendor/service management practices, including service level agreements (SLAs).
  • SAP Functional Knowledge: Basic understanding of SAP SD and MM modules, particularly EDI outputs, IDOCs, and Partner Profiles.
  • SAP Integration: Knowledge of integrating applications with SAP, preferably S/4 HANA.
  • Middleware and Integration Platforms: Experience with middleware and integration platforms such as Dell Boomi and IBM APIC.
  • IT Design Concepts: Solid understanding of IT design concepts, strategies, and standards.
