Job Description Position Summary Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). This role involves building and deploying a cutting-edge technology stack as part of a 10-year program modernizing the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P). The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver mission-critical capabilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Design, deploy, and maintain a full-stack, containerized microservices architecture. * Support systems administration, installation, and configuration. * Promote adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams. * Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka. * Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability. * Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments. * Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements. * Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities. * Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models. * Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master's degree. * Strong Linux proficiency. * Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes. * Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab. * Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana. * Demonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments. Preferred Qualifications * Experience operating systems at scale. * Knowledge of Agile methodologies. * Development experience with Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc. * Experience supporting enterprise or production systems. * Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS). * Experience with Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana). * Experience with GPU-based Kubernetes. * Experience with SALT for deployment automation. * Experience with Helm / Helmfile. * Experience with Nexus.
