Job Summary:
Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence/Data Subject Matter Expert to support KITS and their government customer at Langley Air Force Base, VA. The role involves providing classified AI and data integration support while ensuring continuous operations in a classified environment and developing AI/RPA solutions for intelligence operations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide technical advisory services on AI and RPA integration within SIPRNet and AFSCI environments
โ€ข Coordinate with HQ ACC/A2 leadership on classified AI capability development and deployment strategies
โ€ข Advise on security compliance, data governance, and technical feasibility for classified AI applications
โ€ข Participate in classified technical exchanges, working groups, and planning forums
โ€ข Lead AI and RPA workflow discovery sessions with ISR Wing personnel in classified environments
โ€ข Design, prototype, and deploy AI/ML solutions addressing intelligence analysis, data fusion, and mission planning workflows
โ€ข Develop automation solutions using enterprise-approved platforms within classified networks
โ€ข Conduct iterative user validation cycles with operational intelligence personnel
โ€ข Transition validated solutions into operational use with complete technical documentation
โ€ข Provide Tier 2 technical support for AI tools and platforms operating on SIPRNet and AFSCI networks
โ€ข Troubleshoot complex technical issues requiring classified environment access
โ€ข Coordinate with platform vendors on behalf of classified users
โ€ข Resolve escalated support requests from ISR Wings and HQ staff
โ€ข Maintain on-site presence at JBLE during normal duty hours as part of the minimum two-cleared-personnel requirement
โ€ข Enable seamless coverage for HQ ACC/A2 and ISR Wing support without operational gaps
โ€ข Coordinate with the second Senior AI/Data SME to ensure continuous classified environment availability
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Active TS/SCI clearance that is current and in-scope at contract start date
โ€ข 5+ years of hands-on experience with classified AI and data integration across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and AFSCI environments
โ€ข Direct operational experience working within SIPRNet and AFSCI networks (not just policy knowledge)
โ€ข Proven track record developing or deploying AI/ML solutions in DoD classified environments
โ€ข CompTIA Security+ (DoD 8140.03 baseline requirement) โ€“ Required
โ€ข Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and tools approved for classified DoD use
โ€ข Understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, and governance within classified networks
โ€ข Familiarity with RPA platforms (UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, or equivalent)
โ€ข Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards, data handling procedures, and accreditation processes for classified systems
Preferred:
โ€ข AI Engineer certification or equivalent advanced credential
โ€ข Experience with Advana, AskSage, or other DoD enterprise AI platforms
โ€ข Background supporting Air Force ISR Wings or ACC directorates
โ€ข Experience with GIDE (Global Information Dominance Experiments) or similar multi-domain intelligence integration efforts
โ€ข Familiarity with DCWF (Defense Cyber Workforce Framework) work role 661 standards
โ€ข Previous work supporting organizational change management or user adoption campaigns
