Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in providing essential care and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them in achieving greater independence and community integration.

The ideal candidate for the DSP role will be responsible, patient, and committed to delivering high-quality person-centered care. You will assist with daily living activities, support behavioral goals, and promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Support individuals with meal preparation, medication administration, and transportation
  • Encourage and assist with community outings, recreation, and social activities
  • Document daily progress notes, incident reports, and service delivery logs
  • Follow individualized service plans (ISPs) and support behavioral intervention strategies
  • Promote and reinforce independence, choice, dignity, and respect
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment
  • Collaborate with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Respond to crisis situations with calm and appropriate intervention

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or in human services is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
