Reliant Management is seeking a dependable, organized and dedicated Staff Development Director/Infection Preventionist to join our outstanding team!

Job description:

  • This position will be overseeing 9 facilities and therefore you must be willing to travel.
  • Director of Staff Development acts as the lead of coordination and management of all educational activities in the skilled nursing facility.
  • Focus of the Director of Staff Development is to assist and support the translation of our nursing philosophy into practice by leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of education to enhance the knowledge and skills of nursing staff.
  • Clinical expert for nursing staff and provides education and mentoring in the development of clinical skills and capabilities.
  • Assesses the clinical education needs of the staff and plans, develops, implements and evaluates educational programs to meet those needs.
  • Collecting, analyzing and providing infection data and trends to nursing staff and health care practitioners.
  • Consulting on infection risk assessment, prevention, and control strategies: providing education and training, and implanting evidence-based infection control practices, including those mandated by regulatory and licensing agencies and guidelines from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Qualification:

  • Knowledge in Point Click Care is preferred.
  • Must have an active California LVN or RN license.
  • DSD Certified is required.
  • Infection Preventionist certification required.
