About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to oversee procurement strategies, manage strategic vendor relationships, and develop supply chain capacities. You will be responsible for negotiating optimal pricing and terms while mentoring purchasing team to align with corporate financial goals. This role reports to the Director of Purchasing.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Purchasing: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sales, margin, quality, and supplier relationships.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate, select and monitor supplier relationships. Develop new sources of suppliers.
  • Category Management and Merchandising: Develop merchandising and marketing plans to drive customer engagement. Develop commercial plan for driving Sales.
  • Data Management - Manage DSD Order Guides in the Power HQ system, ensuring pricing and UPC data accuracy.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, train, and oversee buyers, associates and assistants.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Lead efforts to align and inspire cross-functional partners across Operations, Store Operations, Marketing, and IT-bringing together diverse perspectives to achieve shared goals.
  • Laws and Policies: Have a deep understanding of the State Laws and Policies of various states we sell in.

About The Pay:
  • Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 Annually

  • You have 10+ years of procurement experience.
  • You have 5+ years of DSD Experience
  • You have 5+ years of experience using and analyzing syndicated data to optimize business performance.
  • Experience conducting RFP campaigns and managing complex sourcing scenarios.
  • Experience leading a team, defining team and individual goals, sharing best practices, and developing talent.
  • You love people, are collaborative and have demonstrated leadership qualities in previous roles.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy taking calculated risks.
