Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled Drywall Technician / Painter to join our team.

This role will primarily focus on drywall-related work, including repairs, patching, texture matching, skim coating, hanging, taping, and finishing. When drywall work is lighter, this team member will also support our painting crews with prep, masking, painting, and general project execution.

Role Breakdown

This position is expected to spend approximately:

  • 50-75%      of time performing drywall work 
  • 25-50%      of time supporting painting crews and related prep/finish work 

This may vary depending on project volume and company needs.

Key Responsibilities

Drywall Work

  • Complete      drywall repairs ranging from small patches to larger wall and ceiling      repairs 
  • Hang,      tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall as needed 
  • Match      and blend textures when applicable 
  • Perform      skim coating and surface smoothing 
  • Identify      drywall or substrate issues before work begins 
  • Prepare      repaired areas so they are fully ready for paint 
  • Maintain      a high level of cleanliness and detail during drywall work 

Painting Support

  • Assist      painting crews with prep, masking, sanding, caulking, priming, and finish      work 
  • Brush,      roll, and spray as needed depending on project requirements 
  • Help      maintain production efficiency and quality on painting jobs 
  • Support      jobsite setup, cleanup, and protection of client property 

Project Execution

  • Follow      scopes of work and direction from Crew Leads and Field Supervisor 
  • Arrive      prepared with the tools, materials, and equipment needed for the day 
  • Work      efficiently while maintaining premium workmanship 
  • Communicate      any scope changes, damage, or concerns to leadership promptly 
  • Help      ensure jobs are completed on time and to company standards 

 Customer Experience

  • Represent      the company professionally on all jobsites 
  • Be      respectful, courteous, and professional with clients and occupants 
  • Maintain      a clean appearance and organized work area 
  • Help      create a smooth, low-stress experience for the customer 

 Safety & Accountability

  • Follow      all company safety policies and jobsite expectations 
  • Properly      use PPE, ladders, tools, and equipment 
  • Help      maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment 
  • Report      any incidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+      years of drywall experience preferred 
  • Experience with: 
    • patching       
    • hanging       
    • taping       
    • mudding       
    • sanding       
    • texture matching 
    • skim coating 
  • Painting experience strongly preferred 
  • Strong attention to detail and clean finish work 
  • Ability to work independently and with a team 
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred 
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in active jobsites 
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment 
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
