Sr Project Manager
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Project/Program Manager to provide PMO Support and Program Management for projects within the Global Family Office Technology Program. This role is responsible for leading the project team to deliver agreed-upon goals, objectives, and business benefits while controlling and monitoring the project's scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk. The position ensures execution continuity and effective oversight of strategic investments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technology projects and teams to execute complex initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery of project objectives and benefits.
  • Establish project governance structure with defined roles, responsibilities, and resource assignments.
  • Create and maintain the project plan throughout the project lifecycle to support the delivery of goals and business outcomes.
  • Ensure the project adheres to project standards, IT controls, risk and regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Actively manage and escalate project risks, issues, and roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate discussions across various teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Communicate project status, reflecting scope, schedule, budget, and resource perspectives.
  • Direct, manage, and motivate the project team, partnering with stakeholders to plan for project resources.
  • Ensure Statements of Work are fulfilled by vendors participating in the project.
  • Facilitate project closure activities, including lessons learned and formal turnover to production support.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • Proven experience leading technology projects and teams on highly complex initiatives of significant scope, scale, and risk.
  • Program/project management expertise, including working knowledge and application of SAFe Agile methodology.
  • Skill in adopting corporate project management standards, IT controls, risk and regulatory requirements, and SDLC requirements.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).

Professional Skills:
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to drive plans forward and process information from various sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience at large financial services firms.
  • Consulting experience.
