Tasks & Activities:

Job Purpose

Fertilizer Applicators are responsible to apply fertilizer, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through granular, chemical application on trees, shrubs, and lawns to commercial, residential and homeowners association communities.
Tasks

  • Apply granular application with motorized application equipment
  • Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environment practices
  • Complete required tasks accurately and in a timely matter
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment neat and organized
  • Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions
  • Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes to direct spray over designated areas
  • Completing progress reports and associated paperwork on Salesforce
  • Assist lawn maintenance crews with weed control in beds as needed throughout the season
  • Follow all personal protection equipment safety requirement's
  • Full year round work
Job Qualifications:

  • Drivers License with clean driving record (Required)
  • Experience preferred
  • MN Commercial category A+E License (or able to obtain one)
  • Knowledge of chemicals
  • Knowledge of weather
Specific Skills:

  • Positive team attitude and motivated. Work in varies weather conditions. Able to drive a truck, trailer, and equipment. Exceptional communication and attention to detail. Able to physically perform all aspects of the process. Ability to work independently dependable & punctual
