Job description


Position: Drop Team Member
Department: Drop Team
Job Summary: Responsible for performing daily drops and counts consisting of slot machines, table games,
poker games, and sports betting kiosks. Handles drop proceeds consisting of currency, cash-out
tickets, blackjack cheques and poker chips for purposes of reconciliation.
Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
  1. Responsible for the processing of all monetary transactions taken from the slot machines and table games.
  2. Responsible for transporting all monies from drop locations to the designated soft count rooms.
  3. Keeps the Drop Team Supervisor informed of all pertinent information regarding count activities and any irregularities.
  4. Ensures the integrity of all monetary transactions.
  5. Maintains and held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records/reports.
  6. Identifies and resolves discrepancies.
  7. Assists in the counting and verifying of strapped currency, blackjack cheques and poker chips.
  8. Assists in the transferring of all currency, blackjack cheques and poker chips to the Main Bank.
  9. Responsible for operating a variety of currency counting machines.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Knowledge of computer hardware/software including the skill sets necessary to perform the transactions referenced above.
  2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and guests.
  3. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  5. Ability to handle guest confrontations.
  6. Ability to work in a smoking environment
  7. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time including at least 50% of shift.
  8. Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, reach, twist and grip throughout the shift.
  9. Ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds at one time.
  10. Ability to adapt to the casino environment that involves large numbers of patrons as well as loud and continuous high noise levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Demonstrated track record of integrity and confidentiality.
  3. Demonstrated track record of providing excellent guest service.
  4. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed.
  5. Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
  6. Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Knowledge of tribal policies and procedures as well as Arizona Department of Gaming rules and regulations.
  2. Knowledge of fundamental functionality of slot machines, table games and poker.
