Job description

Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a candidate for Driver's Assistant position. This role will assist the truck drivers with logistics. Ideal candidate will be able to drive the box truck when truck driver is away. Also an assistant must have a clean MVR for last 3 years, valid driver's license, ability to lift over 50 pounds, and ability to drive a box truck as needed.

Job Description:

  • Loading/ Unloading product from trucks
  • Using hand trucks to move inventory
  • Inventory Supplies
  • May need to drive a Box/ Dump Truck as needed
  • Keeping up a tidy work area including delivery truck
  • Ensure secure load before movement
  • Clean and wash the trucks as necessary
  • Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to the supervisor
  • Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations
  • Laundry, Waste Management, Facility Maintenance
  • Grounds Keeping
  • Attention to Detail

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience loading/unloading trucks
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with clean 3-year MVR
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation, State, and Federal laws

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in the outside environment (including inclement weather) on a daily basis
  • Lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs on a regular basis
  • Workaround raw, live animal odors
  • Work in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipment
  • Work nights, weekends, holidays, and long shifts
