Position Summary

Seeking Driver Orientation & Training Coordinator to lead classroom-based orientation and onboarding for newly hired CDL drivers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring drivers are properly trained on company policies, safety procedures, compliance requirements, and operational expectations before beginning work.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, experience in the trucking industry, and the ability to effectively engage and train groups of drivers in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct new driver orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Present company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Train drivers on FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, ELD usage, and safety requirements.
  • Review driver handbooks, company manuals, and compliance documents.
  • Assist drivers with completing onboarding paperwork and required forms.
  • Coordinate with Safety, Recruiting, Dispatch, and HR departments during the onboarding process.
  • Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • Evaluate driver understanding and ensure all required training is completed.
  • Answer questions and provide support to newly hired drivers.
  • Assist with ongoing driver training and safety meetings as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry preferred.
  • Experience as a driver trainer, safety coordinator, dispatcher, fleet manager, or CDL driver is a plus.
