DFW Movers amp; Erectors, Inc. is looking for CDL Drivers to join our team!
DFW Movers is looking to add a CDL Driver to our team in Garland, TX. If you love to solve puzzles and enjoy learning how things work, we'd love to chat with you!
CDL Drivers are an important part of our team! Industrial Machinery Riggers amp; Millwrights move heavy industrial machinery, equipment and materials that cannot be moved through conventional methods. In addition to driving loads, our CDL Drivers assist the riggers and millwrights in performance of their duties. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that their equipment is in safe mechanical condition by performing proper, complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Drivers are also responsible for the proper loading and securement of items transported on their trailer. The driver is expected to keep his equipment clean on the inside, and free from any damage. Drivers must maintain all driving logs and a good driving record. A willingness to stay busy and accomplish the task with your team, and a drive for continuous improvement are all skills that our top team members have in common.
This position requires a high amount of teamwork and clear communication to set up and repair rigging at manufacturing plants and construction sites. They are responsible for working with a team to align and anchor the machinery, attach loads, control the movement of heavy equipment, and ensure the rigging is safe for use.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience driving as a CDL driver with a clean driving history
  • At least 25 years of age
  • Experience inspecting and preparing loads to be moved
  • Excellent attention to detail, following all federal and company safety procedures
  • Ability to operate various sized forklifts and aerial lifts
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish job duties
  • Knowledge of rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts is preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a drug screen amp; hold a current DOT Medical Certification (or ability to pass a DOT Physical)
  • Ability to climb steps and ladders,
  • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, and squat regularly
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. regularly
  • Excellent hearing and vision
  • Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
