Job description

Purpose Statement:
Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals that specialize in serving those battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Also specializing in those needing Intensive Residential Treatment Services.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
  • Indirectly supervises employees in the transportation and technician departments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves
  • Carries out the responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Selecting and maintaining qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly to technician supervisors;
  • Providing orientation and on- the- job training for technician supervisors and ensuring the authority and responsibilities for each position are defined and understood;
  • Quality and control measures for staffing ratios and specific duties alongside departmental supervisors;
  • Quality and control measures over purchasing for metro residential and corporate sites
  • Quality and control measures over MDH Compliance relative to the technician department.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational workflows to improve efficiency (quality assurance/cost of care initiatives).
  • Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves
  • Supports in management of fleet, including maintenance,insurance, and new purchases.
  • Reviews Financial, operational, and activity analyses and forecasts data to determine department or division progress toward states goals and objectives.
  • Serves as a member of management committees on special studies/duties/ projects, supports quality improvement initiatives and assists in the management of PULSE / QI data and other supporting data
  • Collaborates with and follows directives given by the Vice President of clinical services to:
  • Set and monitor financial budgets
  • Execute projects and initiatives
  • Review progress and develop required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • All other duties assigned

Miscellaneous Responsibilities and Duties
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills.
  • Ongoing demonstrated ability to lead team members
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of laws and statues required by:
  • Minnesota Department of Human Services 245G
  • Minnesota Department of Transportation
  • Minnesota Department of Health
  • All other governing bodies
  • Maintains appropriate communications within the area of responsibility.
  • Practices a high level of confidentiality.

Requirements
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities).
  • Excellent organizational management skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Procentive, Google Drive, Paylocity, etc...
  • Valid MN driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background study in DHS.
  • Free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding hire date and sign a statement attesting to that fact.
  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years experience in relatable field work and High school diploma/equivalent.
  • CPR and 1st Aid certified or willing to participate in courses provided by NBH.

Salary Description
$65,000-$75,000 /year
