Job description

DFW Driver Supervisor
Position Summary
The Driver Supervisor is responsible for supporting driver accountability, operational consistency, communication, training, and day-to-day driver engagement within the DFW market. This role serves as a direct bridge between Drivers and Operations by reinforcing company expectations, supporting retraining efforts, identifying operational gaps, and helping ensure drivers have the tools, communication, and support needed to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment.
This is a highly visible field leadership role focused on coaching, accountability, operational support, and real-time follow-through. The Driver Supervisor will help strengthen driver culture, improve operational consistency, reinforce company standards, and support the continued growth and stability of the DFW operation.
Primary Responsibilities
Training & Retraining
  • Assist with onboarding and field training for new drivers
  • Conduct ongoing retraining and reinforcement around operational expectations, communication standards, service urgency, scanning/compliance procedures, freight handling, customer service, and escalation protocols
  • Identify drivers needing additional coaching or retraining support
  • Reinforce operational consistency and professionalism throughout the fleet
Driver Coaching & Accountability
  • Meet with drivers one-on-one regarding operational performance, expectations, coaching, and accountability
  • Reinforce company expectations and operational standards consistently and in real time
  • Monitor driver performance trends and identify repeat operational concerns early
  • Address and escalate operational, attendance, communication, and performance concerns quickly and consistently
  • Help create stronger driver buy-in, engagement, accountability, and operational awareness
  • Support corrective coaching conversations and follow-up action plans
Ride-Alongs, Audits & Driver Oversight
  • Conduct ride-alongs to observe operational performance, communication, professionalism, safety, customer interaction, and adherence to company procedures
  • Perform driver audits, spot checks, and vehicle inspections
  • Observe and document operational trends, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure company vehicle, equipment, and appearance standards are being maintained
Driver Scorecards & Operational Follow-Through
  • Create, maintain, and review driver scorecards
  • Track operational patterns related to attendance, communication responsiveness, protocol compliance, service issues, freight handling, vehicle care, and overall reliability
  • Document both strengths and opportunities for improvement
  • Create action items, follow-up expectations, and timelines to ensure issues are addressed before becoming repeated operational patterns
  • Assist leadership with identifying larger operational trends and accountability gaps
Operations & Driver Communication
  • Act as a consistent Operations-Driver liaison within the DFW market
  • Help improve real-time communication and follow-through between Drivers and Operations
  • Support coaching, escalation, and operational decision-making closer to the actual issue instead of after the fact
  • Help drivers feel connected, supported, and informed while still reinforcing accountability and operational standards
  • Work closely with Operations, Recruiting, Dispatch, and Leadership to support operational stability and growth
Position Goal
Help create stronger operational consistency, accountability, communication, driver engagement, and field-level support within the DFW operation while reinforcing Quicksilver standards and supporting long-term operational growth.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and hold others accountable professionally
  • Strong operational awareness and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills
  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations directly and respectfully
  • Previous courier, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or operational leadership experience preferred
  • Field operations or driver management experience strongly preferred
