Job Summary:


B&A is looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test plans and test cases.
  • Engage in systems testing, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Review and document functional requirements with team lead and develop estimates.
  • Develop automated test scripts using tools Rest Assured, Selenium and Post man using TestNG and BDD framework.
  • Hands on in Core Java and Java script.
  • Log and retest defects found and produce test results.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering is preferred. Alternative work-related experience, Military Duty, and/or specialized or higher education may be substituted.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in writing and maintaining test scripts and test plans.
  • 5 years of experience in writing and executing unit tests and test cases.
  • 5 years of experience in performing thorough functional, integration, and regression testing of complex systems.
  • 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using automated testing tools.
  • 4 years of experience in participating in and facilitating requirements gathering sessions.
  • 2 years of experience in documenting business and systems requirements including, developing user stories with acceptance criteria and constructing workflow and diagrams.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio).
  • 2 years of working experience with SQL (PL/SQL or T-SQL).
  • 2 years of experience in Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Atlassian JIRA.
  • 4 years of experience in practicing standard software development lifecycle leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
  • Experience defining and tracking QA metrics such as open defect count.
  • 4 plus years of experience in defect tracking and maintaining defects life cycle.
  • 4 plus years of experience in API testing like SOAP UI and Postman.
  • 3 plus years of experience in API automation using tools Rest Assured and Postman.

Security Clearance

  • Active TS or CBP BI.
