Job description

The Computer Systems Test is responsible for developing, executing, and recording tests to detect and report errors in the product, ensuring that the systems meet performance and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute test plans and frameworks to validate system functionality against defined requirements and specifications.
  • Perform functional, performance, security, and regression testing of computer systems.
  • Identify, report, and track defects and issues uncovered during testing.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance the overall system development process.
  • Work with multiple teams (development, integration, product management, etc.) to ensure
    1. Defects are addressed and resolved efficiently
    2. Incorporate necessary changes
    3. Ensure alignment with product goals and quality standards
    4. Continuously improve testing protocols and methodologies

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • 4+ years of operator, tester, or IT support experience in Combat Systems, Air Battle Management Systems, or C2 systems.
    • Strong experience with test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
    • Proficient in functional, performance, security, and regression testing techniques.
    • Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
  • Willing and able to learn, use, and master model-based engineering tools like Cameo and Innoslate and perform systems engineering tasks as assigned.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Sound troubleshooting approach and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in conveying technical information to non-technical users.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and complete documentation thoroughly.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Hands-on experience with IT systems, networks, collaboration tools (Atlassian, Jira, TEAMS Planner, etc.), and manual test management and documentation methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical disciplines.
  • Certifications such as CTFL, CAST, CSTE, WCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or similar.
  • Operator or Maintainer experience or training in: MSCT, L16, ADSI, C2Core, ASCOT 7, Liquid Metal (or similar forensics tools), voice communications systems, and tactical time servers.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (due to federal contract requirements).
  • Ability to gain a SECRET clearance.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. to support occasional equipment setup.
