Job description

Dreamville Staffing is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Machine Operators to work in Lumberton, NC. The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used in the production process. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate manufacturing machinery according to company procedures and safety standards.
  • Set up equipment for production runs and make basic machine adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance of major equipment problems.
  • Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist other departments as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications:
  • Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow production specifications.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hour shifts.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Bend, stoop, twist, push, and pull throughout the shift.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and moving machinery.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Skills:
  • Manufacturing or production experience.
  • Experience operating automated production equipment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
