Junior Fire Alarm Drafter / Trainee
Location: Albany, GA
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fire Alarm Drafter/Trainee to support our design team in developing fire alarm system layouts and project documentation. This entry-level position provides hands-on training in fire alarm design, code compliance, and industry software.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with fire alarm system layouts, device placement, riser diagrams, and drawing revisions using Bluebeam Revu.
  • Prepare project submittals, stock lists, permit packages, and related documentation.
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings.
  • Learn and apply NFPA and local code requirements under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and installation teams to support project execution.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Bluebeam Revu.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and technical aptitude.
  • Drafting, electrical, construction, or related technical experience is preferred.
