About this Role
Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an opportunity for an Emergency Services Operator (EMT / Firefighter) at the Texas Operations Site, located in Freeport TX. Our Freeport location operates around the clock, every day of the year, including holidays.
As an Emergency Services Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our team. Key responsibilities include responding to medical, fire, and hazmat emergencies. This role also provides site security, participates in safety training, drills, performs equipment inspections, and is expected to participate in site safety initiatives. We are looking for technically capable individuals who embrace change, adapt quickly, demonstrate sound decision-making, and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities
  • Perform all work activities in a safe team environment and follow operating discipline, procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties related to the function.
  • Respond to Site Emergency incidents / events. Medical, Fire, Hazmat, Security and Confined Space Rescue
  • Physical ability to lift hoses, climb ladders, multiple flights of stairs, bolt flanges, operate valves, fire pumps and other emergency equipment / vehicles as part of the job.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve deviations and problems and accurately complete all required paperwork.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve all process issues.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or National Registry Paramedic certification.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
  • Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must have a current, valid US driver's license.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Firefighter 1 certification.
  • Industrial firefighting experience or process operator experience.
  • Certification in confined space / high angle rescue.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, respirators, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments with frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds wearing full firefighting ppe or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able to work in such environments with tight or closed-in spaces.
  • Must be willing and able to climb stairs/ladders and working high off the ground.
