About You and This Role
Dow is seeking highly motivated, dependable self-starters who are interested in working for a safe, well-established global company as a Finishing Operator in Auburn, MI.
As a Finishing Operator, you will provide support for Dow's manufacturing operations through the packaging and distribution of Dow products. You are a team player and a problem solver and are willing to step up to help the team succeed in an empowered environment. Responsibilities
  • Packaging products for our global customers
  • Interacting with chemical processes
  • Manually breaking-down pallets of material and products
  • Arranging, stacking, and repackaging all types of materials and products
  • Affixing labels, stickers or booklets on packaged materials
  • Safe operation of a forklift or other heavy equipment
  • Display behaviors that demonstrate ownership in the success for The Dow Chemical Company
  • Identify, prioritize and safely accomplish tasks while working independently to overcome daily obstacles

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Must have a current, valid US driver's license
  • Willing and able to work all applicable shifts on a monthly rotation (including weekends) and work overtime when needed
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of manufacturing experience
  • Forklift Operations Experience

The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include:
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lb.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Standing/Walking for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
  • Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
  • Work in an area with hazardous materials.
  • Handle 55 gal. drums.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using common computer applications such as word processors, email, internet browsers, and basic troubleshooting of hardware or software issues.
